Do you think the rain will stay off if I go outside?

Good evening.  36C yesterday but not as hot today I think.   We've been on a covered boat moving at 8kph so a pleasant breeze during lunch which was quite good and all cooked on board, not prepped and sous-vided then re-heated.   Very pleasant way to relax.

Watering every day at the mo.  Sprinkler in rotation round the veggie beds for an hour each night so they get a good soak every 3 days.  Will have to have seep hoses once we've made more beds.   Then all the pots get done every day or two days if it's only been 30ish and not too windy.

Quiet evening now but will have to get cracking with sewing Possum's curtains for her apartment.   We're heading back up on the 4th but have at least 3 days doing other stuff before then.   Where did the summer go?

How about a nice gooey chocolate raspberry brownie cake FG?  No icing and yummy.

She's very specific Obelixx! I made fairy cakes, and tested one for quality control of course.
Rasps and choc are a lovely combination. I prefer lemon cakes, with rasps, but choc and rasp is a good 2nd.
Glad you had a good day. Nice to be treated now and again.
Summer went a while ago here, although a bit later than the norm. It got to 15 today, but the heavy showers keep appearing so I've done hardly anything outside. Got on with a couple of things inside - blocking in what was a little window in the lounge, but is now covered by the extension. It'll form a shelf area for photos etc.

I love lemon and raspberry muffins FG.    Here's the seriously squidgy brownie recipe, just in case you fancy giving it a go one day - https://www.bbcgoodfood.com/recipes/2121648/bestever-chocolate-raspberry-brownies

OK.  Decaf drunk.  I'm off to check my pots and find a light snacky thingy for dinner.

    And Scottish raspberries too.

It was a great favourite with my Belgian friends and the French ladies at patchwork like it too.

The fresh ones we had from our garden in June were pretty good.  I used some to make a squidgy 10" square brownie.

As I thought, we only got to 29C in the garden today so no watering duties.
We made pizzas for dinner.    Not a good habit to get into really.   Lamb rogan josh tomorrow.  Possum training exercise.

"only 29C in the garden today"........central heating and electric blanket on here, Obelixx.

Sewing lessons next for Possum?   I was delighted when my daughter bought herself a sewing machine.  No more "Mum can you....."
