Hi WOnks - glad hubby is on the mend  :)
Wrists are ok thanks - it's the shoulder that's the problem ..
..and no, the drugs don't work, it's just phsychological  ;)
Enoy your trip - try to relax a bit - if possible

Placebo or not Fairy, the pills are worth a go if it helps take your mind off! Sorry thought it was the wrist, think I'm getting people's body parts mixed up! 😕
Haven't relaxed in weeks Fairy, gonna give it a go though! The garden is looking bonkers beautiful, we won't mention the lawn, but so untidy too, I'm almost ashamed to take pictures! Enjoy your weekend!

I get everyone's bits and bobs mixed up too Wonks  :D
Our grass is a lovely shade of fried brown - even in the front which is shadier. I can't remember when I last cut it and there was any proper grass in the box!
I find it hard to relax too - especially outside. It's usually in the evening after seeing to dinner etc - and then I fall asleep on the settee ;)

Wonky, glad Hubby is feeling a bit better. Tough times for you both with the weather.
Lilyp, it takes ages to strip the heads off the lavender stems, but I store them until I need to put more heads in sachets. I sell quite a bit in the little gallery.
Fairy, I won’t even bother to photograph our grass. 🙄. Don’t call it lawn. Just grass that needs mowing in spring and autumn.

Good morning.   Woken early by cramps, then again by Cosmos and then the birds started.  I thought the dawn chorus dimmed after the breeding season was under way and partners and territories sorted.  Managed to doze off again tho so not too bad.  Hope all sleepless heads catch up on some zzzzzs later.

Off to buy compost this morning for potting and soil improving purposes then back to quarrying for me and potager weeding for OH.   He "cleared" a 2m square area before he left so I could plant out my strawberries temporarily but by the time a fruit day came round 5 days later it was already growing bindweed so I fed them in their pots and let the weeds grow so he can practise improving his technique.

Tour de France Day 1 today so a good time not to to try and go near a local beach as that's where they'll be passing.  Possum had thought of going surfing, or at least swimming, later on.   Some chance.

Glad you had a good time Dove.  Hope you get your hill FG.  Looks like cooler stuff and rain is quietly creeping in from the north for you.  Wonky - glad OH is doing better.  Enjoy your garden and your trip.  Pat - do you sew sachets or buy them?

LP - does any of this help?  https://www.wikihow.com/Get-Rid-of-Crows

Greetings to all yet to come.  Have a lovely day and enjoy the sun and forget th ebrown grass.  It will recover.

Morning all. I wondered what on Earth you were chatting about when I scrolled through and saw “body parts” and “everyone’s bits and bobs” 😬😂

It already feels like it’s going to be a hot day. I will nip to SM now, hopefully before the inevitable beer and burger rush. We have the Velothon tomorrow (no - I’m not racing in it!) so best to stay at home on Sunday as many major roads closed.

    Have a a relaxing day.

I don't envy you teh supermarket AuntyR - but I don't envy those 'blokes on bikes' either, even if they get a bit of height.  Much too scorchio   ;)
I'm quite lucky that the birds don't wake me - it's just 'me' that wakes me. Daughter was complaining that owls were keeping her awake the other night. It's the magpies flocking round the big crow's nest nearby that are the noisy b***ers here.
Take it easy with your sledgehammering.  :o

    Hurrah for Moonpig.
I ordered birthday cards for my precious Angels yesterday morning at 10.30. They arrived in the post 15 minutes ago. Less than 24 hours from order to delivery.
Talking of "body part" and "everybody's bits and bobs", there was a report on the local news about a Councillor suspended for "inappropriate behaviour"
    The reporter said
" He's been suspended from committees and  removed from external bodies
Was it just me who found that really , really funny?

    Lovely photo of Spikey 🦔

Had a great day yesterday with Forumites .....Lambeth Palace was well worth seeing, and the Chelsea Physic garden was very special.  Enjoyed the Garden Museum too - very interesting for those who like gardens and history.  All topped off by great cake, ice cream and wonderful company 😁😁😁

We’re off to a BBQ at my cousins today.  An attempt to get the whole extended family together for something other than a funeral 😳.  Means a trip to the Cotswolds for us, but others are coming from Brighton, Bristol and Chester.....so quite a gathering.  He’s promised us a room for football viewing 😉
