I honestly don't think I've ever longed for rain so much and we've now had two downpours of 5 minutes each. I went and got utterly soaked in the first one, toweled off the drips and have been relishing cold clothes ever since.
'If you have a garden and a library, you have everything you need.'
We’ve got real proper rain here too - making me very happy.
Sat in the carpark at work this morning, having a last sneaky peek at Forkers before heading into the fray, when a car drove into my car head-on. Gave me a right shock. Got even more of a shock when I started to shout at the driver, only to discover that there wasn’t one. Just an idiot who hadn’t put his handbrake on, so the car had decided to roll off. One dented bumper later, not a happy chick 😦. At least at work we could soon identify the culprit, but I could do without the hassle of organising repairs.
Littlest chicklet travelling home from the North West ths evening.....Me, and my dented bumper, are on midnight pick up duty from the station.
Oh chicky Were you effing and blinding? I would have been. The problem is that insurance companies these days seem to try everything they can to avoid paying out - even when it's clear cut. It's a right royal pain in the chuff. I remember reading a walk report LP, and it was a similar story. The lad spoke to a 'chap' with black lab in tow. He even got a sneaky pic. It was decades ago. When ex and myself were walking the Lochnagar hills on one occasion, that old bat Camilla came charging along the loch road in her car when we were heading back. The lodge there is where they often spend time. She was in a right hurry - wonder why.... Still no rain here, but the sky is full of it. I now have a tidy shed, but much stuff to take to the tip, and some shelving to organise. A job long overdue.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Thunder, lightning and lots and lots of rain Chicky, hassle you could have done without. The husband of a friend's friend forgot to put his handbrake on and the car rolled over the edge of the pier into deep water. Luckily his wife wasn't with him or he might have followed the car.
Amazing lightning display, sky black as pitch and half a dozen drops of rain ... but Wonky assures me there's more on the way ... she and her lovely hub are getting drenched as they dance in the garden
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Of course Fidget just as soon as the butts are full ... at this rate it won't be long ... goodness me, that was a big crash ... those gods have got some big pieces of furniture
