    Morning Fairy  :)
Do you think if we all ate sp@m fritters over the weekend ....? ;):/ no one eats them any more, leaving it wandering around at a loose end causing trouble ...

Quite so Dove. I thought about Monty Python yesterday when I got ready for work...

Rain this morning, a whole 1 mm. Cold, but thanks for asking, Hosta. Much more snow on the ski fields so at least some people will be happy. It is school holidays after all.

Has anyone seen the terrible fires in the US?  Shocking! Footage showed farm machinery trying to cut wheat before the flames reached them, but they did find a mans burned to death in his harvester. 😡

I couldn’t stay awake last night for the end of Le Tour - climbing the Alpe D’Huez.  So, we are watching the last 10 km at the moment to see what happens. We know that Nibali has had a crash, but don’t know the details.

Pat, I ended up in bed at 9 last night. ( awake since 4am) and didn't wake until 6 this morning. Hurrah for that I say.

The fires are terrible Pat. We're having crop fires here in East Anglia but distances aren't so great so no fatalities or serious injuries so far thank goodness.

normally when I look at weather foreacasts I'm looking for sun and temperature, now I'm just looking for rain. It's looking good for overnight tonight.

Re the fires - that's pretty horrific Pat, to say the least. I was saying at work last week that I hadn't heard anything about the fires in the north of England, so I had a search to see how it going. Took me ages. There had been no updates on the news at all that I saw. Then yesterday, they said that the fires had finally been put out. Yesterday's fish and chip papers right enough... :/
Glad you got a good sleep Hosta. I was the same yesterday - awake since 5 ish, and struggling to stay awake at 9 or 10 last night. Just as well we're so busy at work - that keeps me going.
