Couldn't agree more fidget. What a role model that woman is - especially when compared with all the Z list 'celebrities' that girls admire so much. She's still feeding her baby!
Felt quite sorry for the England boys - it's not their fault the media is so ridiculous. I think it would have been worse if they'd got to the final and then lost though. Can you imagine the stress? They'll get ludicrous amounts of expectation on their shoulders of course anyway.   :/
Joyce - what do you mean - raining? I've been praying to all the gods for snow, hail and locusts at least.... :D
The water situation is really serious here. The farmers were all watering when I drove through Perthshire [ big grain/hay country ] last weekend. We didn't have the amount of  haylage cut that we would normally expect to have. It just hasn't grown enough. Lastyear there wasn't a decent enough dry spell at the right time to cut it.
Better go and shift  - dropping off older fairylet at a comedy gig. I don't get paid enough.... ;)
Sorry dylan - it's evening here.....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

    Hello all!

I had a busy morning hacking brambles and hoiking out tree seedlings in the park with the volunteers.  We're levelling an area for an outdoor "classroom" for local schoolchildren exploring the history, flora & fauna etc.

I don't usually go for double flowers but I'd make an exception for that Lychnis.   :)

The garden is looking better after last night's rain.  It didn't penetrate all that deeply, but the "surface rooters" are happy, and there's water in the butt for the blueberries.  Don't want to appear greedy, but we could really do with some more...
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
