TBH. I drive less than 1,000 miles a year so I could live without it. It's more for peace of mind whilst Hubby is working 200 miles away and can sometimes do almost that in a week.
My car doesn't have a spare wheel ... I'm supposed to squirt some stuff in the tyre and limp to a tyre centre ... I thought about buying a spare wheel (I'm quite capable of changing a wheel) but if I put one in the boot I can't have my top down so if I get a puncture I will call Green Flag

Morning LG and Fairy Have a lie down Pat ((hugs)). Noisy parties have never been my thing. Once I was invited to a school friends party. When Pa came to collect me no one could find me ... eventually someone someone tracked me down ... under my friends bed, lost in a book. Id not even heard them calling me ...
This reminds me of when we took our two to a party. When I went to collect them, I was a little late and she said I’m so sorry, I haven’t got your two, panic!! I’ve only got two girls here and the big one has been marvellous with the little one as she’s been sick, they were mine, my son was very pretty and had gorgeous long black curly hair! All afternoon she thought he was a girl😀
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
@Lyn a similar thing happened at my children's primary school ... a new headmaster walked into the boys' changing room at the pool and bellowed at Nicky to go back to the girls' changing room .... he'd been teaching Nicky for a whole term and thought that he was a girl ... well, he was from a Biker family and he did have wonderful long blond hair right down past his shoulderblades The headmaster was sooooooooooooooo embarrassed because of course all the children made sure the story went right around the village

We had a huge storm last night in the early hours. Electricity went of for a short while. Internet went, but it's come back. Waterbutts all full and garden has had a good soak of rain. Much cooler, which is a relief.
We went to a village fete today in the area I want to move to if ever I sell the house. Seems a livelier area than here.
Daughter 1 with her family are staying in our cottage. They had an awful journey, accident near Bordeaux, traffic queues, nearly missed their plane then the road they wanted out of Luton was closed and there had been huge storms in Norfolk with branches and lots of water on the roads. They like the cottage, though.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Do you all remember when I ordered two clematis from Taylors for our pergola ... well, they arrived in late June ... just look at C. texensis 'Queen Mother' now
It's also making its way across the rear wall too. It must cover an area 5' x 5' already .... you get what you pay for don't you

Like those stories Dove and Lyn Clem is going great - you're right about getting what you pay for. I think people forget that a nursery has to look after plants for a long time until they reach a good size to plant out. They're actually very cheap when you think about it! I had to come in - it's very windy. Greenhouse and several pots toppled etc, but I think the toms are ok. I was up a ladder dealing with my 'green wall/fence' [ as I couldn't lift my arm enough to tidy it earlier in the year] and it wasn't really ideal. Currently 13 degrees and with the high winds it was getting a bit brisk. I triple pegged the washing - didn't want to chase my smalls down the road Looks like Mr Thomas is winning the TdeF. Excellent stuff - and well deserved. Sorry your family had a rough journey BL. No fun. Hope the weather settles now that they've arrived.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
It has been somewhat stormy in East Anglia ... trees down on the A140 between Wonky and here and still very blustery ... plants whipping around in the garden ... glad your family are ok BL ((hugs))

Good evening all. We had a brief shower today which freshened up the air for at least half an hour. Now we're back to 36C at 7pm and very humid. I spend a lot of time dripping. Old apartment now cleaned within an inch of its life - by me - and only one car load left to shift tomorrow while the traffic wardens are at home. The new apartment looks like a bomb site because I've left that to Possum and her flat sharer to sort out.
Both like cooking and have more than enough each to fill the kitchen so some refereeing and creative storage is called for and - get this - they've called in a very organised friend to help them tomorrow pm. Only 48 years of organising kitchens and stuff here but it seems it doesn't count.
They've gone off to the annual Namur summer fair while I do some pottering and catch up on emails and stuff and book sorting. Old apartment "état de lieu" (check for cleanliness and any damage) at 4pm on Monday and then, all being well, home to the Vendée on Tuesday am. I do love Belgium but not when it's this hot and sticky. It's currently cooler and not sticky in the Vendée.
Far too many pages to catch up on so greetings to all. Hope you all have a good weekend. I'm off to the old place for some sleep - I hope.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Evening all And probably morning Pat as it's half past midnight but first time I've had, six day week this week, not a great one, crashed the van, not my fault, unhurt, but then had a fall into sharp metal plough parts and did hurt myself, stung by wasp and excruciating heat so glad we finally have wind and rain and I might be able to get more than three hours sleep for the first time this month, I'll try to read back in the morning, have a lovely weekend all night night
