Fairy girl hang onto your vinyls my children all have record players now and buying LPs all the time, it's definitely considered the coolest way to listen to music nowadays
Too late Debs - I won't go into the reasons why I don't have them. I have some of my Dad's [ones that he bought as well as the ones he played on] and a few favourites, but I couldn't keep them at the time. It's a bit tricky when you want to play them in the car though...
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
I threw away several boxes of my ex husbands records about 10 years ago, would be worth a fortune now! I play all my music on my phone but the young ones love their vinyls.
I sold a load of Hubby's vinyl. TBH they're only worth anything if they've never been played. Unless they're stupidly rare. some places only offer you £1 for 5 LPs. Hubby had a load of rarities ( unplayed , 1st edition Bowie stuff, and V early Rolling stones ) they went for up to £150 each
For a long time, I've loved Previn's American in Paris recording with the LSO, and had it on vinyl. I looked for it a few years ago, but it was hideously priced. I've just seen it again, and at a normal price so bought it. Coming this week - hurrah! Debs- the reason I struggled to find a suitable car recently is because so few of them have cd players - all phone connecting malarkey. I don't have one of those smart phones, and refuse to buy a phone when I'm already forking out for a car! The girls think the new car's doodahs for music is great of course!
Hosta - that garden is 'retro'....

Eventually went back to sleep. Much cooler today, may do some gardening.
I have quite a lot of old LP records but they've all been played a lot. Also have a record player. But now I'm over 27 and my ears don't work as well as they did I don't listen to music as much as I used to and when I do it's mostly classical.
