Hot here.  38C on the front doorstep at 6pm.

Much cleaning going on here for imminent arrival of guests.  Now it's my turn to get clean.   No views on cycling or football but I do think you should feel able to tell Regina quietly but firmly that she is neither transparent nor porous so can she please move away from the fire and if she wants to talk, to do it in another room so you can enjoy your programme.

Look forward to reading about your jollies punkdoc.

We went to an art exhibition that a friend had paintings in. Bought one of a sunflower field in Dordogne from him and another painting of trees and a river from a friend of his, not expensive at all. We had lunch in a little restaurant in the village.

Then we went to a choral concert in the cathedral in Périgueux celebrating the end of the 1st world war, like the one in Ely. A long standing woman friend was singing in it, also a guest choir from Sheffield. The conductor, soprano and baritone were all English. Half the streets in town were closed and there were people, especially the young, all over the place with blue, red and white stripes painted all over them. The bars all had TVs on and chairs in the streets and there was a giant screen in the park. Every now and then during the concert we could hear the cheers from outside. I wonder what that could have been about??  They didn't realise what a good concert they were missing.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Welcome back Pdoc - hope you both had a great holiday.

Much celebrating in French streets tonight ......well done to them 🎊⚽️🇫🇷

Spent the day reading in the sun, dashing in to watch various finals, and finished off with a cycle “round the block” 🚲

Now sitting on the terrace with a glass of wine and my book, savouring the end of another beautiful day.

went out snapping things earlier......rather pleased with this effort (just my phone camera😊)

Note how the ant photo bombed 🐜 😉
