The plants will be fine Obs, but you probably won't get much fruit next year. Worth missing a year for the overall rejuvenation though

Oh good.  We do have new plants I'm caring for in pots for when the fruit cage gets built.

I'm off outside.  Oh has got the ironing board out to watch the football and Bonzo dog has eaten something that's made him very farty.  I'll leave them to it then.

Has anyone else seen the FB message form John Cleese about Trump, the British and Gentlemen?  Excellent.

Quiet today, tennis or football? I watched a bit of the ladies final.

30° this afternoon, done some watering.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Don't do tennis or football so have been busy outside, melting.    Pottering, watering, weeding, digging up a bucket load of potatoes to give to the neighbours so cool drink and chat at their's followed by digging up a bucketful for us, clearing the space of visible bindweed roots and planting out 11 dahlias for cut flowers.

Roast belly pork and crackling for dinner with some of the potatoes and then ice cream with home-made raspberry sauce.  Yum yum.

Lots of watering.   Minstrel had an unplanned shower in the PT and wasn't at all impressed.   All 4 critters playful as we sat on the terrace finishing our wine before pud.   Lovely evening.

Don't worry about those of us who don't care for all the sporty stuff Chicky.  You go right ahead and enjoy it and share your pleasure too.

I must remind Hubby about belly Pork. I know there’s one in the freezer somewhere. 🤪
cycling here. They got to Chartres yesterday. Very flat country with lots of fields that looked like wheat plus dense planting’s of trees around. There was a huge cathedral as well. Stood out on the skyline.

    Morning all.
I hate sport, but I'm more than happy for others to share their enjoyment of it.
Another misty morning but it'll burn off soon and it's going to be another lovely day .

    Morning Hosta/afties Pat  :)
Are you a bt warmer today?
Think the rain's on it's way here - badly needed. Who'da thought?   :D
I was exhausted watching the tennis yesterday. Not the results I was hoping for, but excellent performances by all concerned.
Not really on if you're in the dark with your hours Hosta. I understand it's not conventional routes you drive, but you seem to get lumbered. The willing horse and all that. Have you got a good nosebag to take with you?  :D
Hogges were all out for a little bumble around last night.Happy days.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
