My feet and ankles swell in this sort of heat too.
OH has popped to W'rose ... we have a hankering for mango and salted almonds.
I would've said icecream too but I don't think he can cycle fast enough to get it home before if turns into milkshake.
My feet are up on the Brazilian leather pouffe and I'm watching a Midsomer Murder about vampires  B)

27C and great if you like rock hard soil, so I was out watering a lot, and doing jungle clearance at the side of the house. Why is it that unwanted plants thrive so easily?!

FG - last time my ankles swelled up like this was after a flight home from Australia in 2001.   I'm assuming it's a combination of heat and being sat down nearly all day.   For the last 10 days I've sat down to eat my lunch at about 1pm and then again at maybe 9pm for dinner and a bit of TV.

Chris - soak thoroughly the night before and it should be fine to work the next day, or at least pull weeds out.

I'm off to look for vampires or something else not too taxing to relax me.   Definitely not football.

It's hotter in Norfolk than here! 26° today but a cool breeze kept it pleasant, but meant it wasn't a good day for weedkilling the drive. Going to get hotter, housesitter will have a lot of watering to do.

I definitely won't be watching football. Will be watching Versailles.

Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

Is there anything on TV except bl...dy football?   Even news broadcasts are spent interviewing footballers or asking people to predict who will win. Fed up with it!

Ive just peeked out through the curtains and everything is white with frost - including the solar panels on the shed roof. Bah!
    Night all.

When are you off to Devon Yvie? I thought you had already gone, but I must be mixed up.

I go to a Pilates class LG - at least once, sometimes twice a week.  Have been going for years and really like the teacher and all the other stretchers....we have a good natter whilst we go.  My work medical about 10 years ago showed I was losing flexibilty in my spine and this has got me back to top marks again.

Getting littlest chicklet organised for Wednesday when she flies off to visit her sister down under.  Brace yourself Pat, there’ll be a flock of chicklets on the loose 🐣🐥

Happy new Greenhouse Fairy .....how exciting 🎉🎉🎉
