    Morning all 😀

Our trains went through a period of being excellent, but seem to have deteriorated over the last couple of years. Not sure renationalising is the answer though - have worked in both the public and private sectors in my time, and I know which I would rather run my trains 🚂 Fingers crossed for 6th July travel Liri 🤞🏻🤞🏻🤞🏻

Had a great day at Lullingstone Castle yesterday.  Took this one - a little piece of Australia in Kent - for Pat

Will put others on the Garden visits thread when I have a minute.

Good morning all  :) g'day Pat  :)  'they've ' been digging up the pavement outside our house since 7:15 ... now they've gone away and left us with a hole ...
OH has put The Girl from Ipanema (sp?) CD on ... methinks he's missing the Cornish beaches ...  B)

Chicky, I thought I was seeing things when I saw the top of your photo until I scrolled down a bit.😳 interesting that people have planted them there. 😃

For me, ONE of the problems with privitised railways is that they need to make a profit. Rural lines rarely do, so we end up with the overwhelming majority of the money being spent around cities, especially London.
My point is , we've had both, public and privitised ( with HUGE subsidies from the taxpayer), and both have good and bad points so let's learn from both and move forward. I'm not suggesting we turn the clock back to BR days.

Morning all. Another dry sunny day here. It's lovely to have this reliable warmth. But the plants are really suffering. Ho hum.

Was thinking of joining a Breeze bike ride today but lost my nerve. I've got tonnes to do anyway.

Chicky, we really enjoyed Lullingstone Castle when we came across it by accident - we'd gone on a trip to the Roman Villa. That was a good day :-).

Glad to hear the wedding went well and you had a good time, Dove and Wonky. Enjoy Devon, Yvie.

I'd plump for renationalising the railways. They're nationalised in all but name and functionality anyway, might as well admit it. They have become incredibly unreliable and chaotic, in a way unimaginable even three or four years ago, and that's without the recent cockups. As a daily public transport user it's a sorry state of affairs.

Oops, I've just signed up for a Pilates taster session. Didn't expect to do that when I got up this morning! Better sort some clothes out and put a wash on before I leave.
