isn't it fab. I saw one forecast saying it's to be 29C next Saturday. Hurraaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah.
We had 30C+ at the same time last year. Cue the moaning minnies " it's toooooooooooooo hot" What happened next? It rained non stop for about 8 months.
Is that me you're talking about Hosta?  :D
I spent a while watering things this morning, although we've had loads of overnight condensation so many plants are fine.
Hope you get some nice views at least when you're out and about. Would hubby like to come up and finish painting my extension for me? I could make him some cake as a 'persuader'....
Re the railways - when have governments ever learned from mistakes? Surely some common sense should prevail, but they're all too busy feathering their own nests aren't they? Am I very cynical d'you think.... :/
Trying to get rid of my shoulder pain and get a walk later. I'm reet p***ed off with this now.

Are you thinking of getting a 'small herd' to make use of your new position then?   :D

AuntyR - when I drive through Paisley at this time of year, the hogweed along the river banks is in full flow. It's very impressive.

It would be very tempting to get some sheep and do just that wouldn't it?

Gorgeous sun again here and still the cooling breeze.   Woken up early by a cuddly Cosmos curling up on my tum so got up and did a few jobs before getting ready to go out.   Garden visiting with keen gardeners today.  Fab.

Have a lovely day everyone, whatever you're doing and good luck with that shoulder FG.

Seems it is a day for garden visiting 😀. I’m sat on a coach going to Lullingstone Castle to see Tom Hart-Dyke and his World Gardens in Kent - will take pics for the visiting thread.  Will spend the journey in iPod world - I am surrounded by people considerably older than 27😜

Hope you got your shoulder sorted and are now out on those hills Fairy 🏞

enjoy Devon and all those beautiful gardens Yvie - take lots of photos for sharing 😀😀😀

I made a passable sugar free strawberry ice cream yesterday. Whizz strawberries and a third of a banana to thicken . I do it in a nutribullet. It comes out quite thick. Freeze in shallow trays, stir after about an hour. The banana keeps it creamy and stops it going granular. It looks like there will be a huge raspberry crop. We are currently eating them fresh, but I will soon need lots of recipes to use them. They freeze well of course. I'm glad I laid the soaker hose in when I planted them.  Lovely blue sky here and very calm. More watering to do.   Have a good day folks.

That ice cream sounds rather good, Fidget. Maybe I’d better give my raspberries a good lot of water next spring.

Raspberry vinegar. Easy to make and very useful stuff for desserts and for salad dressings and for a nice fruity hot drink

We felt like going out for lunch after church, nothing grand, so we went to a little village about 15 mins away that has a restaurant overlooking a river. Enjoyed it very much, not expensive, can get a 3 course meal there for 13€, £11.40, with 500ml wine for 6€. Never thought of it before because it's local. But we don't often eat out in France anyway. This is what our table looked out over. The white stuff is thousands of little white flowers.
