Clari, did the care home not send a member of staff to help out if necessary?

@Joyce21 they didn't even arrange to get her to the bus much less provide any form of support. I re read the paperwork - it clearly asks people to make sure they're capable to visit in terms of hills, long walks etc.

Had a bad day with a client (Not enough help from those that should so I'm mopping up the mess and generally banging heads together) and a past client (doesn't realise I'm hardened to pleas to help because "I should" despite not being our role and if we help now we know all other support will leave so fast the dust won't have settled before they're over the horizon).

Horrid to see people suffer over basic things. Unfortunately I expect to see them both in hospital as that's the only place they can often go for the sale of basic support. Poor nurses.

Well the Ashwoods visit didn't go to plan.  Came back with a Centaurea 'Jordy', it was really busy today so didn't stop at the tea room, there was a coach party in.  I saw the Ashwoods stand on the Chelsea coverage, it looks beautiful, hope they get a gold.

Pretty p*ss  poor Clari. I think the care of elderly people is a ginormous ticking time bomb in this country - and as so often happens - the powers that be are in denial. Someone else's problem.... :/
Glad you had a lovely time chicky. I overdid things on Saturday I think - scunnered with not getting on a hill, so knackered myself in the garden instead.
LP - that's sad. Sometimes it doesn't matter how much people object. Councils just allow building to happen because it suits them   :(
Good luck with your sale and move BL. Despite being here regularly  to visit your cottage, it'll be a bit strange moving back for good!
Having to water stuff here Joyce- what's that about? We keep missing the stuff that's forecast. We got about twenty drops yesterday   :dizzy:
I think MrGreen is the finest blues guitarist we've ever produced in this country doc. What are you thinking of planning for your 'big day'?
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Hi all. Just settling down to watch Chelsea.
@Hostafan1 - I think you should have a stand in the Great Pavilion!

My garden and I live in South Wales.
