All in a wonderful weekend - coming home weary but happy. Marvellous people indeed Pdoc, and beautiful towns and countryside.  We rode 140 miles in 3 days, and about 135 of those were on cycle paths.  That’s not just a measly bit of kerbside, like we have in the UK, but proper tarmacked, no cars allowed cycle paths.  All set out so all you have to do is follow the numbers - mostly we didn’t even need to use our map.  Thouroughly recommend it for anyone who likes a bike.

Our trusty steeds (60 years of service between them) did us proud 😀

Just watching a recording of The Queen at Chelsea ... alongside my ex colleague/sort of boss Sir Nicholas Bacon ... really nice chap who makes a good mug of coffee ... and always remembers how everyone prefers theirs.  :)

    Evening all.
Almost all the grass has been cut then I ran out of petrol. This, being a bank holiday means all the filling stations will be open shorter hours and I couldn't be bothered to lock everything up to drive round on a wild goose chase to find one open.
I decided to lie on the my new sunbed and drink tea and have  a bit of carrot cake.
I think it was due to be 23C today. Whatever it was, it was lovely.

Glad you enjoyed it, Hosta... sorry you didn't, Fairy!

I love ferns, but they're definitely weeds in my garden.  Lady ferns appear unbidden in every convenient crack (and also, inconveniently, in the middle of shrubs, and all over the rockery).  And also, in the last few years, harts tongue ferns - apparently a sign that the air is getting cleaner.  Good news.   :)
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Gorgeous photo chicky - I was able to open the little version  too :)
I'm as good on a bike as I am in water [aaagh]...but shove me up a hill and I'm at home  :)
Yesterday's summit view - across to the five Munros at the south end of G. Etive,  and a little glimpse of loch Etive.

He's not a fave of mine either Dove - but some of their stuff is undeniably excellent  :)
I love Hart's Tongue ferns Liri. Had them in my old garden, and thinking of getting one for the pond side in this one.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....

I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...

Is that how lady gardens are formed?

Hey everyone -plenty of goings-on going on out there! Hope you are all fit and well.
I had a fairly standard weekend of family visits and gardening. My Dad and I swapped some tomato plants so I now have enough to run a ketchup business! I won’t pot them all on, but I have a few varieties to try out now.

My garden and I live in South Wales.
