Busy day yesterday. Made a start on putting the tomatoes into bags - however I've no space for the rest of them yet. Also put most of the cucumbers into pots and 3 tumbling tom tomatoes into hanging baskets.

Also did some moving around, stuff from greenhouse to cold frame and planted 3 salvias into a bed.

Today I'm aiming to get the grass cut if it dries out.

Got all togged up for a day in the garden, and hubby has decided to cut slabs!! I'm not breathing in clouds of dust so really having to bite my tongue!  Ah well,it will be nice to see the steps smartened up,and the forecast is good so there's always tomorrow!

It's raining.  I've uncovered the toms outside but decided to leave the polyT closed as it's only 25C in there and I have seedlings that need warmth.

Just started raining here, everything could do with a good soak and will make the turf I need to remove a little easier! Pricked out some yarrow, moved a fern that was getting crispy, planted out a half tray of ammi visnaga dotted about (had half a tray of spare seedlings... they either make it or they don’t!), picked lettuce and radish for lunch and that’s about it! Feel a bit bushed today, in more of a ‘black and white movie and a nap’ mood!

    Weeding.

Chucked out my first confirmed kill, a heather.

Shifted half the turf I dug up last month.

Put remaining heather out and moved blueberry into a pot.

    Drank beer. Sprayed roses.

Finished digging over my second veg bed.. pulling out the couch grass and bindweed as I went.  Weeded the first one, again, evidently didn't do too great removing all the roots the other weekend.  Both beds are ready for planting.  A bit late, but better than never!

Weeded behind cane fruit.. it's a good year for horsetail, evidently.  I already weeded it once two weeks ago, and this was twice as many.  If it wasn't so windy every day, I'd be tempted to spray them.

I planted a row of gladioli, a dozen 10 wk stocks, (that 6 wks from sowing had flower buds on , now pinched out) and 5 dahlias that were getting too big for the greenhouse.  I turned the hosepipe on the bit I want to plant tomorrow, as it has set like concrete.  More stuff has gone out to harden off.

Done quite a bit over the last few days: potted-on a few small plants, planted tumbling tomatoes into a large pot, tied-in sweet peas, tidied around some of the large border shrubs where the grass was encroaching, pulled some of the Spanish bluebells and weeds, general pottering and plenty of watering! Oh - and helped my Dad with some of his garden jobs.

I bought 4 bags of top soil to top up my raised bed and watered to pots. Is that classed as gardening?
