Had a productive day on the plot today.

Burnt lots of rubbish and did more of the fence, nearly half way now.

Received a kings seeds order through the allotment association too. I'd forgotten what had been ordered, it seems to have taken so long, what a pleasant surprise, I'd ordered some new one's not grown before.

We had a couple of good burning days, it hasn't rained for a while, wood nice and dry. Weather is ever so mild, I've plenty of jobs to keep me busy if it snows though....pots to wash, tools to clean and sharpen, GH glass could do with a good wash and the shed needs a clear out.

Sounds like you had a productive day Gardengirl. I intend to encourage birds more this year. Repaired the glass in GH this morning watched by a very friendly robin.

I plan to plant more flowers too to encourage butterflies and bee's.

Hoping to go back after lunch whilst the weather is mild.

Hope to go to plot tomorrow to carry on with shed build got some where yesterday front one side of shed planked up still a few more bits to do, I moved some wood around plot - sorted it out still a bit more to clear and lots to build

Wet today so went to GC got 2 different thornless blackberries in sale and using my vouchers made one free and got some seeds - had to go to a different Wyevale as they changed the one near me to Inexcess gc - so will have to check that out some when

Has anyone been to the allotment on your site or is it just you when you go to the plot?

There are usually other plot holders, one plot holder comes everyday but she's at one end of the track and I'm at the other. I manage to go some afternoons during the week, it is surprising how much we are creatures of habit as those who are retired tend to be there on the same days. Weekends are less predictable.

Bought some potting compost, peat and grow bags today which I took to the plot and made some cloches out of the wire fencing left over from the fence.

Had a late lunch sat in the GH. The friendly robin was back, standing on the path watching me.

Think I might make a scare crow this year, I have a bought one but it has disintegrated over time with only the head left now:)
