Allotment is divided in 2 , another full day at plot and half completely done , 5 beds now ready for planting
Hoping to start on other half on Friday , which is only partly done ie Weeded , beds fed and bark chippings on paths
So sunny had to do some watering and take clouches off , also had to hoe up 1st early potatoes 🥔
Hope all’s well with your allotments  :)

Went to the plot to open GH doors. I've loads of seedlings, nurtured for several weeks, don't want to lose them all in one day because of the heat.

Some casualties, the lettuce were looking limp.

Warm weather predicted for next few days so I'll leave the doors open and have put some seedling trays outside.

Went to the allotment the other day and dug over and levelled off the area for the potatoes - just need to plant them, and a bit of fence building also digging and removing a large post of metal had to be cut off

Gg. Did you finish your shed made from pallets, I was thinking of building a shelter...

Did loads of Potting up yesterday, and made room for more seed sowing.

GWRS totally think area was used as a tip, but maybe the metal was a fruit cage or something it is well in ground and still a long way down as would not come out

Zoomer not finished shed yet as need more long pallet planks and doing everything else, a shelter sounds good  - are you going to build a shelter like they build log stores sloping roof

Been to plot today very productive taking pallet planks off and nails out, sawing pallets up for my fence, very sunny today, there was a massive body spider so kept away in case it one that bites

Went to plot today planted my potatoes, and broad beans and a few wallflowers, got given some eggs that was nice
Did a bit more strimming as well, my tulips have been out looking very pretty even though one lot was for cut flowers can't cut them - stems not as tall and the other ones next door can't bring my self to cut them so they will be staying on plot - looking nice for when I go there

Any body watch Fridays G/W , with Monty making pots from newspaper with a “ wooden thingy “ , wondered if anybody else has tried it ?

I've a wooden thingy but find it easier to make paper pots with a 1 cal oil spray, it makes pots same width as toilet rolls...
