Hello , o/h spotted 3 slabs and 140 block paving free on a local site so been to collect them and take to allotment for paths etc , rather pleased with anything that saves money GG , nice smooth ride to your wheelbarrow now
Hi I’m new to this allotment business, I was wondering after hoeing do you need to pick up all the weeds you have hoed or can you leave them? I read some advice online that said you could just leave them and they would dry out if it was warm but I presumed they would have to be picked up! Allotment has quite a few weeds after a weeks holiday☹️
I've a small area still covered with plastic and throw all the periennial weeds on there to dry out.
Started to plant out my leeks this evening, I've two batches one are mammoth leeks.
You must be further south to me scroggin my plot is a few weeks behind, strawberries are only just in flower. The cherry trees look to be fruiting this year.
