I got a plum tree this week a dwarf one mirabelle de Nancy in a good sized pot so will be planted out later in year, also fences and a post that will have to sort out for the garden,

Hi I’m new to this allotment business, I was wondering after hoeing do you need to pick up all the weeds you have hoed or can you leave them? I read some advice online that said you could just leave them and they would dry out if it was warm but I presumed they would have to be picked up! Allotment has quite a few weeds after a weeks holiday☹️

Went to allotment today more digging done -finished one area and bit of secend area ready to manure
I would leave the weeds if hot they should shrivel up dry up after hoeing

I've a small area still covered with plastic and throw all the periennial weeds on there to dry out.

Started to plant out my leeks this evening, I've two batches one are mammoth leeks.

You must be further south to me scroggin my plot is a few weeks behind, strawberries are only just in flower.
The cherry trees look to be fruiting this year.
