Perfect weather today - cool-ish (20 degrees) with a very light breeze and hazy sunshine after a bit of rain early this morning. The soil is nice and damp to the depth of a trowel blade after the rain we had over the last few days, so no more watering for a while (except the containers).

After a dull grey start it has gradually become warmer, with the sun breaking through. Ground only damp on top, I pulled out some spent pea plants this am, it is still very dry underneath. We need more rain MUCH more rain if you have had enough send it here please!!.

Yesterday was very windy and raining all day.
Lots of cloud and still raining on and off, much cooler. All in all a pleasant summer's day.
