  Joyce , played golf with brother in law in Swindon at being of week , Municipal course so no watering , so brown like straw  and the ball just ran & ran

  Joyce, I mentioned above, that if putting out your washing encourages it to rain, then maybe if I fling all my clothes over the garden it might persuade a downpour. I am busy getting out all my winter clothes. Or do they have to be just washed for it to work?

  We have had an hour of really heavy rain just a steady downpour now I couldn't be happier to see it or to smell the petrichlor!

  A beautiful day here,but unfortunately the hills down the valley are on fire.We've sat on the terrace with a glass of plonk watching the flames.I know there are sheep up there with their lambs,I hope they're ok.
