    This feels like the hottest day so far here. We have no fans or air con so I think I'm still acclimatised! 
    Have watered my pots that are now in the shade,but boy that watering can is heavy!😁

    I agree it felt like the hottest day yet, neighbour @Valley Gardener. 
    I am not ashamed to admit that I set up a little pink paddling pool (bought for when my neice visits) and sat in the shade with my feet in it...bliss 😊

    Hill fires all over South Wales tonight. The closest one is about a mile away and was heading in our direction until the wind turned. It's now blazing through one of my favourite walking routes and getting very close to some houses :/  We really need some rain.
    If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

    Wild edges.....I dread that smell of burning in our valley.The helicopters are going up and down nearly every day at the moment,I think they must fill up with water somewhere nearby.
    Such a shame when these beautiful hillsides and wildlife are burned,also a worry for the sheep farmers.

    Stockton N.E. Dark and dull at the moment, low cloud being swept in from the North Sea, the Coastal front probably out over the Dales.
    No sun today, rain could be on its way, I will not go out to play.

    Very sticky here today. No sign of rain forecast this week either. I do hope the fires both locally and anywhere else are quickly controlled.

    Hot and very little wind here - certainly warmer than yesterday. Feeling sorry for those who have the fear of fires in their vicinity. Fingers crossed that all are safe.
