Hot, blue skies, no rain, needless to say. Deja vu.

It's trying so hard to rain here. I've put up a tarp to catch extra water in case it actually amounts to anything.

Oh heavenly bliss.......it's been raining heavily here for two and a half hours!  Big ploppy drops!    No watering tonight !

Cloudy today and a bit cooler. Had a brief shower at 3 ish and is looking greyer by the minute. Here's hoping for some "big ploppy drops"!!

I walked out of work into a lovely cool rain shower! Not enough to water garden properly but enough to cool it down.

One or two spots of rain, no more. Cloudier, 22C. Back to 26 plus tomorrow.

We have had two huge storms this evening with torrential rainfall and and gale force winds. Luckily climbing beans and cucumbers are in a sheltered spot, but the rest of the garden looks dreadful.

A brief shower of hope, then more glowering.

Just seen the forecast, North Wales (that's here) the hottest part of UK, likely to continue so for seven days, still no sign of rain.  Supposed to get hotter at the weekend.  OK for our village fête on Sunday.

The rain came to nothing and evaporated before it soaked in. I have one full water butt left now but all the rest are bone dry.

I hope we get some rain before the school holidays or we'll be seeing a lot more hill fires I imagine. :/
