GD , my water butts at garden /allotment where almost empty , so a bit of rain has put some back At home have a stream at side of garden , so can fill watering cans as required At allotment have 3 water cubes , do have pay to fill them up but only £3-00 each Although we are in a relatively dry area of England , don’t have a problem with lack of water Hope your water storage tanks get filled soon We where forecast thunderstorm as well but so far not happened
After a few false starts that ended with nothing, we have now had the thunder storm that was predicted a few days ago, with just 30 minutes of much needed heavy rain, but enough to dampen the garden for a few days.
Lots of thunder and lightning here with a strong gusty wind. The dog is hiding under my chair and the internet connection is cutting out every few minutes.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.
Stockton on Tees. After three days of cold dull and wet weather it has vanished back into the North Sea and the sun came out yesterday and today. We had a warm night, I was up showered and changed ready for bank Holiday Monday today, "oops" wrong day? My body clock is working the Calendar bit seems wonky. Frank.
A bit frustrated as the heavy rain has stopped me putting up my new raised beds. Consoling myself that the thunderstorms are improving the fertility of my v poor soil although feeling sorry for the poor souls in the planes that fly over my house en route to Heathrow, I wouldn't want to be up there just now. Also struggling with limited tools as a robin has nested in my shed, pleased they have found somewhere warm and dry but I would really like to get my border fork and cloches out! Just hoping the heavy rain doesn't flatten my young veg. Allegedly more thunderstorms on their way so I guess I'll just sow some more micro greens for now and cross my fingers for the real stuff.

According to my weather app there is 'extreme fire danger'. I wonder, when was the last time Ayrshire had an 'extreme fire danger' weather forecast?
