This area is enjoying a lovely spell of warm sunny weather which is predicted to continue for another week.

Stockton on Tees. The North Sea strikes back, all the cloud sweeping up the N Sea is coming inland a few miles so three days of dullish weather but no rain.
Lilac, Apple Blossom and Rhodo's going over but the Peony's starting to flower the first is always the very old one Rubra a very deep red and then the others come into bloom one after the other. The old one has taken its time but this year is a mass of blooms, I have known that plant from being a child as did my Dad before me, I love it.

Our first "dull" day, still warm and no wind and again rain is forecast - we have had no rain for at least 2 weeks so we would be pleased to have some tonight!

it's been cool and drizzly with some heavier showers in between and I'm really pleased because the garden was getting so dry. I can also rest today (and catch up with this forum and the housework) . We've been doing 5-6 hours in the garden nearly every day for the last three weeks and I'm exhausted.

Rain (Glos) = happy dance!  It was getting so dry the soil was starting to crack, and although l was watering newly planted things it was starting to worry me a bit. Everything has perked up and l am hoping to move a couple of things later, before it's due to rain again tomorrow afternoon/evening.

Good soft summer rain here today. All the water butts are filling back up nicely, the pond is topping back up, I've got house plants out on the patio getting their first shower and soil rinse of the year and the seedlings in the garden are all getting a boost.
If you can keep your head, while those around you are losing theirs, you may not have grasped the seriousness of the situation.

Hot and slightly humid.  Still no rain - we keep being promised thunder storms but nothing here so far - has anyone in the S.W. had our rain - if so please send it our way.  Over 2 weeks without and we are watering the veg patch and other vulnerable plants each evening, our water storage tanks are all empty.
