I like Call the Midwife, but i find the Christmas specials a bit boring.
It's the same with dr who, they're longer and they seem to stretch them out with nothing very interesting.

I went off Dr Who after Jodie Whittaker took over - odd really as I've liked her in other things that she's done. Maybe  a different writing team took over at the same time - it seemed to go more 'politically correct'?

I can't take to the 'Dark Materials' thing either - my daughter was into Pullman's books when she was a kid and we saw the Golden Compass film with Nicole Kidman way back - but for me it comes across as very childish (says  an old man who watched Dr Who his whole life!).

The Name of The Rose was ok - although my hearing must be going, as I found I lost loads of the dialogue in that (which obviously never helps in understanding the plot).

I think my licence fee is just for the radio - on from 6am to 6pm weekdays - and I drag it with me in the garden!

I don’t find much on the BBC channels, , I watch a lot of My5,  some good documentaries, I’m looking forward to watching the rest of Cold Call.
we watch YouTube most nights, good films, lots of older tv programmes, mostly BBC series.
Watching  Barchester Chronicles now.  Just finished The Rectors Wife,  like anything written by the Trollope family.

A Christmas just wouldn’t be the same without a production of Scrooge and I’m watching the 1935 version. 😀

Flirty dancing last night, even if it's just to see the exquisite garden where the dance took place.
