Currently binge watching 'Grimm' on Netflix.
Have not watched anything on terrestrial TV since the end of Poldark.
Wonder why I fork out for a TV licence  :/

You have to if you have a tv or anything else that receives programmes. Whether it's streaming or not.

I know the model is changing, and personally I think for the worse. I used to moan about the licence fee - then along comes Sky and you pay 'n' times the licence fee for hundreds of channels that you never watch.
The problem with fragmenting any service is how it gets funded - use football as the example - it is now split between Amazon, BT, terrestrial, Sky...but where does it end? Netflix? Who next Google? What other companies will appear and want a slice?

I tend to watch the BBC a lot - and the programming I think is brilliant - from amazing wild life stuff, through documentaries with Brian Cox on the Universe, Jim Al Khalili with his take on Quantum, comedy like Fleabag - and if you haven't watched 'State of The Union' with Rosamund Pike  - give that a go - superbly done. Vienna Blood is a bit quirky and even Gold Digger was ok even if a bit predictable  - as for 'Elizabeth Is Missing' - another brilliantly made prog.
I just hope that the Beeb doesn't get lost in all the changes that are happening.

I agree - I pretty much only watch BBC/iPlayer programmes. I’m enjoying the repeats of Call The Midwife on iPlayer at the moment, particularly the Christmas specials. There is just something about that programme - it makes you both happy and sad and I love seeing the NHS in its infancy. plus those nuns are delightful!
