Finished gold Digger,  bit silly really, they could have chosen more realist settings, one minute in the middle of Dartmoor, next they’re  on the beach at Hartland quay, then back on the Moor.
it's the magic of telly. What proportion of the viewers knew those locations well enough to notice?
Nobody I suppose, but when you do, it sticks out like a sore thumb.  Why not use a local setting. Plenty of places on the Moor  would have filled the bill.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.

I think the beach scenes might have missed something on the Moor!!

I remember a film on BBC Scotland when Billy Connolly started acting being shot in Greenock and scenes had them running along the road and going round the corner to appear miles away on a different road. I guess it happens all the time.
