I've just watched Call the Midwife too. Still love it. What year did it begin? I think it's now 1963. I did a midwifery course in 1971 during my nurse training, wanted to train after I'd finished my SRN course but met OH and had babies instead.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.

I absolutely love Call The Midwife. It makes me happy and sad all in an episode. The characters are excellent. I particularly love the prim and proper-ness of Mrs Turner!
I think there are fans on the forum of the Aussie drama "A Place to call Home". Just to let you know that the new (and final) series starts on Monday afternoon at 2.15 on BBC 1.
