I haven't seen the Alan Partridge programme yet, but it has had mixed reviews. I hadn't realised that the original co-writer was not involved this time, which might account for that. Jason milly posted on another thread about a programme "Geoff Hamilton, a man and his garden" which is on the Home channel at 3.30am tomorrow (Saturday). I think it's from 1998, worth setting the recording device for.
Recorded the Geoff H series. Lovely to see him again and be reminded of what a lovely, innovative and skilled gardener and communicator he was. Inspirational man.
Have never watched Call the Midwife or Alan Partridge. They don't appeal. Have Mother Father Son recorded for later.

I have been watching the Geoff Hamilton programme as well. Made me a little emotional l must admit, seeing him again. I was reminded of how we watched him on a Friday night, and then got out in our new little garden at the weekend, trying to put into practice the things we had learned. We've been to Barnsdale a couple of times. As was mentioned on the programme, l had a definite sense of his presence, and that's not something l can usually say. Gave up on the new Alan Partridge and also the new comedy with Martin Clunes. Channel 5 tonight at 9pm Flight MH370 5 years on: the mystery continues. Can't believe it is 5 years since it disappeared.
I thought that Martin Clunes comedy was awful. Did like his islands of America though. Enjoying the last series of A place to call home, although not as exciting as the first ones when Regina was in it.
Gardening on the wild, windy west side of Dartmoor.
Can I big up Race across the world ( or something similar ) BBC2 Sunday night. 5 couples have to get from London to Singapore for the cost of an air fare, but not allowed to fly. If they need more money , they have to work for it as they travel and they have to stop at points en route to get the destination of the next stop off point. Last week was London to Delphi, this week they have to get to Baku. No mobile phones or credit cards allowed.
I was really disappointed with that "comedy" @Lyn. I know it's all subjective, but l like him in Doc Martin and thought he would pick a better quality than that ! I am still working my way through APTCH, have watched 3 episodes so far, trying to make it last.
