If you have Netflix, Ricky Gervais' new series After Life is brilliant. Laugh out loud funny in places and tears to your eyes sad in others.
We have laughed out loud at Cunk on Britain.  I don’t find modern day comedy’s laughable but she is, IMO and OH as well and it’s not often he chuckles out loud!
We can’t find anything to watch lately, going through you tube films now. I quite like a period drama film and lots on there.

@Logan4 Yes, I wasn't really thinking about which bits were Virgin and which were the box, because we only really have Virgin for the broadband - we don't pay for any extra TV channels or anything. I was wondering though (and I haven't tried this) - I think you can set up watchlists for programme alerts on the Radio Times website. Maybe it's possible to have a keyword in your watchlist so that you're alerted to programmes with that keyword in? Obviously it wouldn't be linked to your HDR so you'd have to set things to record rather than them being recorded automatically, but it might be worth exploring.

I have a TiVo box, no idea which model it is, but we've had it about nine months. I shall have to investigate to see if it's as clever.

Anni, if you do a search for something, e.g. Carol Klein, you can save it as a wishlist search. Then it'll record anything with that search term in the title or description, whether you want it or not! That's how it works on mine, anyway, but I'm not sure how much is Tivo and how much is Virgin.

Thanks LG, l will have a look tomorrow. I was watching Real Gardens earlier where Ann Marie Powell  went to Stapeley Water Gardens, which l recognised. I see that has now gone, to be replaced by a housing estate. Sigh.

Monty Dons Japanese Gardens on BBC iPlayer is nice.  I watched his French and Italian series on Netflix too.
