Yes we saw a few in December but they all disappeared again. We have had them in the garden too in the past but it's very rare they usually stay up at the farm. When I say farm it's mostly horse stabling & grazing he had a couple of arable fields but it transpires they were rented from one of the Oxford colleges land agents. There has been a proposal for (another) new golf course which we have tried to help to fight but we heard just today that it's going through it will be awful
This was our green lung between here the M1 & the next bit of outer London development such a shame. Even the other local golf clubs were against it as they admit there are too many in the area already all competing for limited market. I can't imagine us seeing the Tawny Owl the Fieldfares & the other wildlife when there are golf balls flying around 1/2 of our walks will be cut off too.
Well.....as a paid up member of the "I know we have a few ex pats on here. " clan ... Dove .....I am overwhelmed by the pleonastic nature of the thread today but am utterly delighted by its verbosity
I'm on my ancient iPhone at the moment so I'll look at those tomorrow Pp. See if you can watch the Silk Road programme if you can. Amazing ... not just musically ... film of Syria as well as many other places across the world. My son is currently working with Talvin Singh ... another musician crossing cultures and musical genres ... so exciting.
Now OH is going to rub some more stuff into my neck muscles and hopefully I'll wake tomorrow morning with my neck back to normal.
Keep warm and safe everyone ((hugs))

Obelixx, I must been half asleep when I read what you were rubbing into the leg. I thought you were treating your own leg. Don’t worry, I woke up after a while.

I think I must have been lucky in December - probably because of all of my windfall apples still lying around.

Love Yo Yo Ma Dove. I didn't see the programme but I love the stuff he does with Chris Thile and Edgar Meyer.
