  • Ah, my son's ex MIL used to send us clips of Russian Ladies on Wheels as we called them image

    Her family were Tatars and brought their traditional costumes over for the wedding, but in the end the MIL and aunts and cousins decided to wear their fashionable modern finery image

    Hi we had a real good downpour of rain yesterday and our tanks for the swimming pool are full up and the  tanks for the washing machine are also full. tomorrow oh and I are going out for a meal then onto a country house overnight then on Monday we will go to Addo elephant park for the day as we  have been married 57years tomorrow. Our grandaughter and boyfriend went back to China and come back in July for thier wedding in August.

    Hi folks, still freezing cold here so bought compost into the conservatory and spent a couple of hours sowing more seeds (including sweet peas).

    Secondborn popped in and left Jonah with us for an hour or so while she went to get her hair cut.  He managed to put the TV remote in my mug of tea and run off with a big grin on his face, he's lucky he's so cute.  Remote seems to be OK fortunately.

    Not really a big sports fan but I do object to the amount of money that footballers/managers get paid. As a society we really have no idea what's important in life and what people should be paid for their endeavours.
