Spring fever is definitely upon us Dove. The talk has turned to propagators and seed buying. Snow is soooo yesterday. (although it's still lying here in places...).
LP I was hoping to get snowed in on Sunday over in Fermanagh but it wasn't to be. We are having big snow on alternate days with wet in between. Drat! As I said yesterday, enough snow to be a nuisance but not enough to be brilliant! I have purchased sledges for hauling stuff around the garden (my bendy-bucket-on-a-broom wasn't grassodynamic enough) but they could double up as transport if it gets too rough out there.
Lily P. So sorry to hear about your friends. Many years ago my best friends lost their home in a fire ... a spark from the chimney ignited the thatch. Fortunately they managed to save the pets that were in the house. A traumatic time but the house was rebuilt better than ever, this time with lots of safety features. I hope things turn out well for your friends.

Morning everyone! Chilly but bright here! A few missions in town unfortunately today, loath busy places! Will get in and out asap! Looking into getting rid of some junk on eBay so that's the afternoons main job.
Interested in trying most foods once but not foods that involve extreme cruelty in its production. Love most fish, bits from fish....not so sure about and things that make you I'll? Not willing to try with my bad luck!
amazing cloche LG!!!Are they squirrel proof? They look very smart and sturdy!
Awful, LP and terribly unlucky . At least they are all OK.
Impressive cloche LG - did you buy straight bar and bend it? If so that's a very neat curve - how did you make it?
Morning Wonky, Dove. Hello PP and the other recent revivals . Spring must be spronging.
It's still far too wet here to even consider gardening. I have got a few seedlings in the windowsill propagator, but can't get into the garden without doing more harm than good. I'm hoping the Sudden Stratospheric Warming. that is apparently happening at the moment will result in a cold dry spell in the next week or two. We've not gone more than two days in a row without rain since last July . I do try to sympathise, Pat, really I do. Too much of any weather can be hard to deal with. But I am soooo fed up with living in wellies

That's horrid for them Lilyp! So glad they are safe though! I remember the day of the fire of our friends house that Dove spoke of. It was the day of my maths GCSE!!! We got the news of the fire then I went down the lane to find both our neighbours kittens run over in the road, not the best preparation for my worst ever subject, but like Dove said the cottage is now rebuilt and much safer and the plus side was our friends moved closer in the village!
Morning Joyce hope your keeping warm up there!
Morning Raisingirl, know what you mean about being sick of wellie wearing! To wet and cold for anything else at the moment though and little sign of it shifting! I sowed a few seeds but think its too cold for anything to dare to pop through the soil for a while now.
That doesn't sound so bad Pdoc, I'd at least be willing to try it, but maybe I'll leave the adventurous eating to you and you can relay the experience to us!

Morning all.
A windy, snowy night but don't think the snow will lie for long.
LP, very sad to lose everything in a fire.
Did your friend have some of her animal portraits at Bothwell Coach House?
Hi all.
Wet and windy, for a change.
Am off to buy seed sowing accoutrements today, so Spring must be coming, please.
If you don,t like the idea of Caviar and Oyster, perhaps I should not mention, the Duck offal [ gizzard, heart , liver ], served on a taco; lovely.
