Wish there was a Waitrose near me. The one near the cottage is possibly the one Dove uses but it’s not near enough.
Saw yesterday that Hosta likes to sleep in 24°. In winter our room is 16 - 17°, which I find comfortable. I can’t sleep when it’s 24° and more in summer.
Tummy feels a bit better. No plans for what to do with the day. Cold outside and foggy, -2°.

I live in such a terrible place . Exmoor in front of us, the Quantocks behind, more than 10 miles to Waitrose and we can see a house (5 miles away) from the window.

Freezing cold again, but I have the joy of watching a marauding gang of Long Tailed Tits flitting amongst the bushes as i drink another cup of coffee.
I have fields to either side of me, one with a river flowing through, which our stream joins. In front of me is a wood which then leads onto the moors.
How can you lie there and think of England When you don't even know who's in the team
Today started with torrential rain ...... then we had blue skies and sunshine ...... now we have torrential rain again ... and it's only just mid morning-ish ................ and as I type a ray of sunshine hits the front window and there's a patch of blue sky, but the rain is still hammering down on the terrace .......

Dove, your today weather is how it was here yesterday afternoon.
Joyce, I've hardly looked at my long border, but there are snowdrops in it. It's still full of last year's growth for winter wildlife to hide in. Can't do anything until it dries out a bit and warms up.
Sounds idyllic, Raisingirl.
You sound very efficient, Solentman. I hope your wife is OK.

I'm hoping my very temperamental chainsaw starts and I can get some logs cut.
