Evening all. Haven't read back far yet but the pet names caught my eye... we have some cracking ones in Wales which are Welsh words but used by even non-Welsh speakers.

    My favourites are:

Bach - means "little" but used as a term of endearment, often after your first name.

Blodyn tatws - means "potato flowers" but used as affection.

Cariad - means love or darling (very cute)

Sosej - yes "sausage" but as another her pet name.

Hope everybody is ok - keep warm* / cool*!

Didn't know the blodyn but have met all the others.

Has OH come home yet LG?   I think I'd have eaten with the girls.   Bed time here now.  Sweet dreams all.

Just having a coffee, Pat. Morning Dove. Do you feel enlightened now image?

Talking of testicles, did anyone see the hilarious tweets yesterday putting Trump's sentiments to the tune of Gilbert & Sullivan's "I Am the Very Model of a Modern Major-General"?

Very dark again here, and due to stay that way all day.

    Morning LG.

I’ve been straightened out by the chiropractor today. The wrist is a strained tendon which explains why the X-ray didn’t show any damage. It’s very annoying - I forget and twist my hand to do things and end up saying - ouch! Time after time. Looks as though the ukelele group will have to manage without me for a bit longer. image

Id have loved to see the Gilbert and Sullivan skit. It might eventually reach here.

its lovely and cloudy here today and not overly hot. We actually had 35 mm total in that rain event yesterday. Great for us.

    For Pat: https://www.thepoke.co.uk/2018/01/07/people-doing-pirates-of-penzance-riff-on-donald-trump-brilliant/

Rather rude in places, so not for the faint-hearted. You have to fit the words to the tune yourself. Enjoy!
