    Late hello, anyone who's awake!

We used to have a Dyson but they're really not very robust - it was hard to use on stairs, and bits fell off it when Someone who was trying to be Helpful let it fall from the top of the stairs to the bottom.  We now have a very quiet, light Miele cylinder vac which works well and doesn't scare the cat too much; its only disadvantage is needing disposable bags.  OH has one of those little B&D vacuums like Dacha's, so he can clean his own model railway...  image  ...there are some jobs a wife should not be involved in doing...

Hope you do plenty of relaxing, Hosta, even if sleep eludes you.  Too hot for me, but each to his own.

I've been singing all day in Halifax (at a "singing day" led by OH), and tomorrow I'm going to York, for... a day's singing - normal monthly rehearsal this time.  Also led by OH.  No, you can't have too much of a good thing.  image

After the rehearsal I'm off to help with the new grandson for a week, so posting may be sporadic...

Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.

Liri - collective singing must be wonderful.   Bit like our dancing for us.    Have fun with your new grandson.

Ooooo - have a lovely time wth littley Liri image  With all the practice you’ve been doing you can sing to him (in Finnishimage)

  • So ...as we move on from the relative attributes of our respective vacuum cleaners ....may I please ask if you have been inundated with an add for "meet Monty in Ireland"  for a mouthwatering 2265 pounds per person ......are they taking over Dublin Castle with a private U2 concert to boot?

Of course I can block it , but interesting to hear your comments?

Dach , Montys trip to Ireland  , seems a bit pricey to me , even if it comes with as much Gusiness you can drink

Have had a couple of holidays in Ireland in the past , both excellent and Irish whiskey ? and beer ? is excellent as well image

I’m still wondering why I get the same advert here in Australia. I can’t imagine travelling all that way.
