I had my first cuppa when I was 'persuaded' to get up by the cats, but brought that back to bed too.
I can see a bit of frost out - forecast is between 1 and 4 today.
Had a trip to see my eldest neices yesterday. We played Monopoly for about two hours - I haven't played that for about twenty years! We had to leave before the game concluded (luckily!) but neiece 1 was very grumpy that we hadn't finished. I suggested that she made a record of how the game was left so we could pick it up next time - but I don't think 9 year olds do delayed gratification!
Well our Christma's trees will not be coming down until after the Old New Year ...Jan 14th .....today is Russian Christmas day ......we can hear bells ringing in churches all over the place.........
Wet and windy this morning and very dark but not as windy as it's been. Woken early by a very cuddly Minstrel and then stayed in bed with coffee too - and a frisky, chewy Cosmos - but up now and cutting out a smart white blouse for Possum with kitties banished for the duration. Should dry up later for walkies after lunch.
No Irish holidays for me either. For that price I'd expect to get somewhere much further and much warmer.

Just a thought ... do you know Jonathan Richman's recordings ... we're just playing some ... he's one of those musicians you forget just how good he is until you hear them again ....... I love so many of his songs ... That Summer Feeling is so good .... and Action Packed ... love all of them really. Oh, and 'You're the One for Me'

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
There's a new Reggae bar on the beach which seems to think that ear bleedingly loud music until 3am is perfectly acceptable.
Re Irish trip. You'd have to Pay me a lot more than that to go see him.
Hubby hates Dyson's with a passion. He once threw one down a flight of stairs in frustration. He had to buy the client a new one though.
We have a wonderful Henry who does everything.
Glorious sunny day with a pleasant breeze to keep one dry , and keep the sand flies at bay.
Hubby can sleep anywhere , and always does. I very , very rarely sleep by the pool / beach. I once did so at an outdoor pool in Harrow and woke with sunstroke and sunburnt soles of my feet. Ouchity ouch ouch. I couldn't walk for 3 days.
Yeah, that would have got me out of bed fairly promptly in a rush for the off switch.
Cold and windy here. I freeze dried the washing yesterday.
Punkdoc - you should borrow our greyhound - a really slow amble for 10 minutes is all she wants in this weather and you could blame your lack of rapid progress on the dog
Hope everyone keeps warm today (but not too warm, Pat ).
Nothing wrong with a holiday in Ireland. Not sure I'd want to go anywhere on holiday with Monty, though. I mean, no offence, I'm sure he's a nice chap, but still, you can have too much of a good thing. I'd be willing to sit for an hour's talk or spend a couple of hours wandering around a park - but a whole holiday? Nah. Even if I had the money

Good morning all
Dry here in Norfolk with sky clearing in the west ... we could do with a dry spell ... but I might regret saying that
The Irish trip does seem a lot of money ... wonder if you get The Full Monty for that?

Hi all.
Heavy frost, but the sky is blue, a proper winter day.
Going to try and persuade OH to accompany me on a short walk, not much for her, it is a bit like walking with your very unfit granny at the moment.
Just heard Bowie's Life on Mars on Radio 6, a great start to any day.
When you don't even know who's in the team
S.Yorkshire/Derbyshire border
My radio alarm woke me up to Sam Smith whining away about being good at goodbyes. Not a great way to start a day. It is now turned off.
Hope you get your walk Pdoc.
