Can't sew any more cushion covers. Sewing machine went clunk, needle broke and thread was in a knot. Changed needle, thread knots and it won't sew. Still under guarantee.

  • My worst music nightmares, rap at any time but especially on a beach till 3AM , poor Hosta  .....and Sam Smith anytime but especially first thing in the morning image

We had a load of Christmas programs on iPlayer to watch .....so looked at Nigel Slater's 12 tastes of Christmas ....... he said "Christmas would not be Christmas with out the taste of XXXXX....." so many freaking times I wanted to throw a lump of my Stollen at the telly. I was also a bit upset seeing them pick a beautiful 112 year old spruce pine tree in Denmark to be chopped down and sent to London.....sad....but at least Danes appear to control what they do not like some other country I could mention image

Thought it was reggae that Hosta was having to endure ...

Reggae OK.  I even know a reggae line dance.   Rap not.

Currently 10C but windy and grey here and we've had 3cm more rain so walkies was a bit squelchy but invigorating.   I git a bad dose of 2nd degree burns in Zambia, visiting my dad when I was 17.  Rainy season and cloudy and no-one told me the UV rays came thru clouds.   Couldn't move by the time dad came home from work at the mine hospital so he gave me a luke warm bath then loads of ointments and dosed me up on relaxants and opiate pain killers (since banned).  I felt no pain for 2 days and then ouch!

Busy - that's a nuisance.  How far to the shop?  I've started sewing a tailored blouse for Possum.   Next will be a skirt and jacket.  No more curtains or cushion covers till February.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

    See original post

Pull out the bobbin and clean the housing and the feed dogs, with any luck you just got thread snarled up somewhere, if you have no luck your timing has broken and the machine is fubar.

I've cleaned it. What does fubar mean? What is the timing? I'll take it back to the shop on Tuesday, 25 mins drive.
