Went to sewing machine shop, it was shut, website said it was open on Mondays, but the timetable on the door said shut on Mondays. Have to go back tomorrow.
Dare I add - Son 1 was Bongo and Son 2 was Bunny Rabbit (so original!), he's now a dentist, hope he doesn't see this!
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
Same frustration for me Busy. Popped into the fabric and haberdashery shop one the way home and it was closed! Never been closed on a Monday so I hope it's a one-off to get ready for the sales starting on Wednesday or do a stock take or something. It's on my way home from patchwork so Monday is a very convenient day to go.
The committee decided to offer galette du roi today - almondy tart with a bean in it. The finder wears the crown. Nice idea but I think 5 huge tarts each serving 12 to 16 slices was a bit OTT for a mere 20 ladies. Next week's all day project is to be a log cabin glasses pouch - handy for all the sunglasses.
Hope all goes well at the chiropractor Pat and for Bow at the concert LG.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

We have very strange weather here....all records have been broken.....
Love the pet names for loved ones children .....what about each other .......when we first met over 20 years ago I wanted my BH to visit places with me I had never been to .....one of those places was Kent....don't ask .....I have always loved miniature railways so we took a ride on this http://www.rhdr.org.uk/about.html .....it was off season so not many people .....we had some flasks with coffee laced with Baileys ......the train just trundled along .....going mudlipups .....pudlipups ....mudlipups .....pudlipups ......to this day my BH is Mu and I'm Pu......true story ......
I went on that railway last year (or maybe it was the year before? ) Dacha, to go and revisit Derek Jarman's garden in Dungeness. It does indeed go mudlipups, pudlipups .
Sorry to hear about the shop frustrations BL and Obelixx. I don't object to limited hours or closure days, but I do like to be able to rely on advertised / usual hours.
Enjoy being straightened, Pat! I could do with some of that.
Bow (I need to get used to this) is still out at a rehearsal, Trill's gone up to bed. The mutton went down well with them both. I haven't had any yet - waiting to eat with OH but as he's generally getting in from work after 11 at the moment it's a long evening!

LG, I really love Cello. Have you heard those two brothers who play cello? I forget their names, but magical.
2Cellos, Pat? Yes.
Grublet would really suit Trill, BL. How funny to have two Possums on here! It is a very good pet name for a small child though.
Good luck at the sewing machine shop. Hope the machine is neither fubar nor snafu...
Papa Womble always called Wonky 'Worm' ... maybe that's why she turned into a gardener .
I used to call her 'Sausage' .... she turned into a damn fine cook too
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Yes, that’s their name. lG.
I never though of nicknames for my three, but their names invariably got shortened or lengthened, depending on which one.
time for bed now.
Catch up tomorrow. I’m seeing the Chiropractor at lunch time, so he will no doubt straighten everything that got shaken out of line last week.
