Good to see you, punkdoc. And Clari too. Hope everyone is OK, and glad the temperature is a little cooler for you Pat.

Very dark here. Not stormy dark, just dark. I've just put an 'aromatic mutton warmer' in the slow cooker for later. Have never cooked mutton before. I'm not even sure if I've eaten it before!

The festive season seems to have knocked me for six. I don't know why - I've been generally much happier and less stressed since leaving my job / starting college. But since Christmas I've variously had a heavy cold, cough, sore throat, migraine, bad back, sore neck, occasional insomnia and basic lethargy - none too extreme and not generally on the same day, so I'm functioning but it's all just a bit bleurgh. Added to that I still don't know what day it is (I would have argued that yesterday was *definitely* Monday!). I need to get out in the garden and get some routine back into my life I think!

However, in contrast to that, my daughter's first concert with her new orchestra is tomorrow and I am so proud and excited about it that I could pop image. I really need to think of names for them (like chicklet, fairylet, possum etc.) - any suggestions?

That's made me chuckle! I need two though, that distinguish between older and younger.

Do you not have a pet name from when they were teeny?  Possum has always been Possum since she was given a book - the Possum with no tail - at about 6 months old.

Sorry you're feeling crook but it may just be your body re-acting to dropping all that stress at last.   Hope it clears up with the coming of longer days, better light and in time for spring.

Pdoc - better?  OK? still fighting?   Hugs if needed.

Off to patchwork soon.  I've found a couple of blocks very carefully cut out but not filed with their instructions and haven't a clue as to how to put them together.

They do have pet names, yes, but I think I'd like a little more anonymity. Both will probably be common, but the combination of the two in one family less so. Hmmm. Might just end up sticking with 'older daughter' and 'younger daughter'.

    Cello, Pat.

That's given me an idea... t'other one plays flute and sings. Bow and Trill? Bow sounds older than Trill (to me, anyway) and Trill has a high soprano voice - that works. Cheers Pat image.

Introducing Bow (14) and Trill (11). OH can remain as OH image.

Just been out for a potter and sweep in the garden and although my back is now complaining a bit I feel so much more cheerful. Magic.

I call my daughters "daughter 1 and daughter 2" here, but, a big coincidence, daughter 2's nickname when she was small was Possum. She also had that book, not as young as that and was already Possum, but I can't find it on Internet. I couldn't call her that here because Obelixx's Possum was here. Daughter 1 was called Grublet, but that's not very flattering!
