Hello Chicky. Yes glad to be getting some veggie work done. Strange how the UK people use the French name but we use the Italian. I suppose it reflects on our immigration populations - plenty of Italians but I dont think I ever met a French person when I was growing up.
Morning all. Pat: planting veg seedlings seems so far off to me... but it's lovely to think that it is Summer somewhere!
Forecast is a bit, well, gloomy- for the next few days here. No beautiful frosty Christmas but at least no snow and ice to ruin the festive outings etc. (umm - my autocorrect was 'festiving' then! Don't think that's a word - but I like it!)
Have a safe, calm and enjoyable day everyone (festiving optional!)
An almost uninterrupted sleep last night. 7 hours is good.
I loved the Dame Judy programme last night. I have to confess at having tears in my eyes watching the Mary Rose section. What a thing of beauty it is. I too find the need to lay my hands on trees I love.
Dove, you're not alone with League of Gentlemen. 2nd episode wasn't so strong but last night's was a corker. Mock the Week was worth sitting up for too.
Woodchip delivered yesterday so that's my project for the day.
I hope poorly peeps aren't too poorly and that those travelling / having visitors all have safe journeys.
Son sounds really poorly with his 'flu ... he actually fainted yesterday ..... he lives on his own I'm going to go over with more paracetemol and aspirin and soft drinks etc... sod the baking ... poor chap, it's his birthday tomorrow
Glad we had the jab.
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Grey today but mild and dry so far. The exciting winds and possible rain have now gone away till Boxing Day.
Recorded the tree programme for later. Watched a recording of Have I got News for You which was very good but was distracted by David Tennant's hair. What has he done?
Cleaning day today then dance class this evening. OH has cleverly arranged to play golf tomorrow! I shall sew and shop and wrap presents.
Hope your son gets well soon Dove. Hugs to all with lurgies or caring for folk with lurgies.

I think my seedlings must be getting desperate. Should get them out tomorrow.
I need to look out some unwanted veg seeds to take to my lovely gardener friends in The Gambia.
Good idea Hosta.
