Clari - get the pain meds then you have a choice between those and alcohol as applicable.
I wear fine tights under a dance frock so maybe 3 or 4 times a year. Can't do a twirl in pop socks if you have a twirly skirt! Bare legs don't work in winter, even here. Maybe fake tan would be cheaper and more comfy. I do have lovely thicker tights for wearing under trousers but don't need them here. Maybe I should make some winter frocks tho I don't know where I'd wear them.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Sadly, wear tights alot ....corporate uniform and all that
Dragged littlest Chicklet to carol service earlier this evening ......just love the sound of carols sung en masse in a church. Now feeling mega christmassy ???
Glad to hear good things about the creole cake Obxx. Will be baking it on Thursday ....working on a ”just in time“ principle here
Mine's just come out of the oven Chicky. Smells divine. Will wrap it in triple foil tomorrow morning.
Not religious but love Xmas carols. Always watch the Kings college carols on TV but always end up frustrated - why can't they just sing proper carols instead of showing how clever they are with new stuff nobody knows? There are already differences between what's sung in the main Churches so best to keep it beautiful and uplifting and traditional - for atheist me anyway.
Had a chat with Possum earlier this evening. She'll be here for just one week before going back to cram for exams in January - wants roast belly pork, traditional (for us) duck Xmas dinner, sticky toffee pudding, roast lamb, curry, foie gras, bread and butter pudding, yule log........going to get spherical!
OH and I watched Strictly this evening. Good result but not my favourite dances on the night..

I’ve decided that I can describe today’s weather in one word “foul”. And tomorrow’s prediction is 39. Northern parts of South Australia got over 45c today.
Ive been in to town today for my second go at the ukelele Group. Learning rhythms - such styles as Bob Marley, Johnny Cash, traditional country, etc, etc. not bad, but it’ll take a lot of practice. No more meetings until 20 January, so no excuse not to be a virtuoso by then.
Wednesday is my turn at volunteering at the little art gallery. Busy, busy!
Morning everyone. Hope you’re not frozen over there.
Good morning. Up and on parade early for a full day at patchwork group. Still dark but seems mild out there.
I hope your heat is at least dry Pat and not heavy and humid. For everyone else, I hope the frosts have lifted from roads and paths - tricky underfoot!
Stay safe and warm and enjoy your day.

I last wore a pair of tights to keep my legs warm in a draughty church we were singing in. Under trousers, needless to say...

Hello Pat! Frosty here this morning but it's still dark, so it'll be a while before I venture out. Don't envy you 39C...
Hi Liri. I’d really prefer the cold.
Morning all.
Back to frost here Pat.
