yes please Pat. We love squash and have several stored in the garage for the winter.
Upside-down type cakes are great ... One of our favourites is Dan Lepards Stone Fruit yoghurt cake which is a great way of using up peaches and nectarines that are a bit past their best. I often include some raspberries in the 'topping' and it looks very pretty.

Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
Thanks for not doing Strictly spoilers as we were out dancing and haven't seen it yet. Our friends at dancing were commenting about missing the Miss France final. Most seemed to think it was a perfectly normal thing to do but one has told her daughters not to go anywhere near such stuff. Must admit my flabber was ghasted that it's still a big thing here.
We had roast butternut squash on Friday night. Very watery so maybe one that grew from the compost heap. I shall probably end up throwing all the rest on the compost heap. Love ravioli filled with squash but don't often see it and we get a good one here with gorgonzola and walnuts too.
Mild and calm outside but not inside. Cosmos is scatting cos he's having his first morning with no sock since the beginning of November. Nearly healed now so I've left it for him to lick off the accumulated sticky plaster goo for an hour or two. Poor chap has a bald patch all round his leg where it's pulled out his fur. The dogs are scragging each other on one of the sofas and one of the pussies has "hunted" the dream catcher I put on Possum's bed ready to hang when I find a hook. OH is ferrying boxes of Xmas decs down so I suppose I'd best get on with that tree.

I’ll get the recipe for you if you want it Dove, well the filling I mean, because I’m sure you know how to do the pasta.
Yesterday he made an upside down cake. A mixture of almond meal and flour and sliced pear on the bottom which of course ends up on top. Rather tasty.
Ravioli now that's something I've not had for years!
Had a very restless night due to my back flaring up. It's making me feel very uncreative.
