    Hi Pat,

We've not had much frost, and no snow here. Just rain.

Have you had any more rain?

I can't wait to get back to The Gambia on Jan 2nd to warm up again.

    Devon.

No ran, but thunder and clouds and oppressive heat. image

  • Good morning all image  Everywhere's white with hoar frost  and some planes have been drawing pink lines all over the sky.

For some reason I had a bout of Hosta-itis and lay awake for a couple of hours listening to the World Service very quietly ... The gritting lorry went past at 2:26 and back again a couple of minutes later.

Morning all. Wet and cold again.

Glad I moved the horses to the winter paddock yesterday as it didn't rain. Spent over 3 hours outside yesterday, checking fences, filling horses' water, clearing up branches from the dead flowering cherry tree etc.

Today I'm taking presents to son 1 for his 3 small boys, then I'm meeting OH from Limoges airport, bit of a drive.

Watched Strictly last night, great result, then watched "Miss France", my 2nd favourite won. The French make a huge show of it that goes on for over 3 hours. One question that one of the girls was asked was "Can you be a feminist and enter Miss France?". She answered quite well but I'm not going into it here!
