Evening all. We are back in Dordogne. Bit of a nightmare drive to Stanstead airport, glad we allowed an extra hour. The A 11 was totally jammed and there was a sign which said delays 1 hour, then the sign changed to delays 1 hour 30 mins. We were worried we'd miss the plane so we went through Newmarket, still lots of traffic, and joined the A11 again further down past the jammed bit. Caught the plane, but it was late because of the weather. Been very cold here, colder than England. This house is colder than the cottage, but the house sitter had lit the wood burner.

Welcome home, Chicky. Glad you had such a good time. Loved the photos.

Good evening. Glad all the travellers safe and sound. Hope everyone is cosy tonight - anyone seen snow yet? I think we will be receiving just cold, slippy sleet rather than the white and fluffy snowman-y stuff they will be having just ten miles up the valley!  I don't think my littlest neiece has ever seen snow, except for on the film Frozen, so hope she not underwhelmed.

I have saved Blue Planet for tonight - just need a little snack to go with it (must avoid the temptation to raid the Christmas stash)...

My garden and I live in South Wales.

Back from 2 hours of dance class.  Knackering.  Long time since we've done that but we can now do the Bolero which is something they do here but not in Belgium.

We have had 18mm of rain today - whoopee - and highs of 12C but it should be sunny, dry and fresher tomorrow and then more wet bits over the weekend.   OH is off to La Rochelle on Sunday to see Wasps play the locals.  Looks like he'll have proper rugby weather.    Xmas market at Longeville-sur mer tomorrow evening then.

We had a call at 10am - it's raining, can the carpenters come and do your ceiling this afternoon?  Delighted!

Glad you're home safe Busy and don't envy you that journey at all.  Would much rather drive the whole way.

Chicky - hope the jet lag isn't too hard.
