Hello folks I'm back ... all is relatively well ... cholesterol and BP more than they should be but hardly surprising given the inactive year I've had ... hopefully things will improve. Benecol yoghurt for breakfast Weight hasn't increased so that's good
Weather's horrid here ... quite windy and very wet ... think it's all coming down off the North Sea and we're right in the way
Gardening in Central Norfolk on improved gritty moraine over chalk ... free-draining.
It's actually pretty nice here. The sky is sort of clearing and there's a hint of sunshine. I need to fetch up more logs to properly warm the house back up.
I've just been on the phone to a lovely young lady at John Lewis, both cases are being replaced under warranty and will be sent to Waitrose tomorrow for collection.
Joyce, the ear is improving and I could even lie on it last night.
Lovely beach Chicky.( and the rest of your photos ) You must be either totally knackered, or made of much stronger stuff than I. I'd be worn out after that trip.
Just back from the latest hospital trip - left OH there, he'll ring if he needs a lift but is planning to return by bus if he feels up to it. Progress!
Welcome back, Chicky! We've apparently planned some Weather for you to enjoy in the next few days... yes, Lily P, indoor jobs for me too.
Joyce, there are no ferries to the island at present either... stay safe, all you Northern lads and lassies! Bit windy here but that's all, so far.
Glad the ear is improving, Hosta, and that you can get those cases replaced under guarantee. Nothing worse than a case you can't open... though, looking on the bright side, at least the problem didn't arise while you were away...
Good news from GP, Dove. Hopefully next year will be full of activity.
Don't get blown away, Clari!
Since 2019 I've lived in east Clare, in the west of Ireland.
Really horrible out there now ... the sky's really dark and I've got the house lights on and the rain is hammering at the windows ... hope Wonky's got an inside job today.

OH's birthday today and his best present is rain! 11.2mm since bedtime last night and 6 of those in the last 2 hours. Proper stuff that's lasting more than 5 minutes. Doglets and pussies all affronted. The dogs have clearly forgotten daily winter soakings in winter and the pussies have only seen it once or twice.
Very happy with it here but I do hope bad weather doesn't cause problems oop north.
As predicted, the Palestinians are getting excited. The good thing is the unity between everyone else against DT.
Have to shake my head at good old UK getting excited about the new aircraft carrier cos she's got no aircraft..........
Welcome home Chicky. Hope the jet lag is sorted by the weekend. Birmingham Xmas market is supposed to be very good and you have the Balti zone too. Yum.
Dove - doesn't sound too bad. Hope the knees recover enough to get more exercise come spring.
Hosta - good. Yor OH too Liri. Pdoc - best face forward. We're with you in spirit.
Curtains for me this pm. The fabric kind.
Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

I had to titter earlier when I was chatting to John Lewis about returning the Samsonite luggage:
" Can I give you a case number?"
Missing the pool.

Hosta, it's not too long until you are back in the sun
I really shouldn't complain, should I? but I'm freezing.
