I'm guessing that was the basic form filling / cremation .I don't think the council ran to fripperies and probably got a bulk buy / repeat custom discount.

I read that koalas sleep for between 18 and 22 hours a day and only wake up to eat and have sex.

Can I come back as a koala in my next life please?

Gorgeous Chicky.  Shame they're such smelly beasts, otherwise they'd be perfect for cuddling.  I have seeds for eucalyptus.  Maybe I should get a stuffed koala if any of them grows big enough.

GWRS - how was Flanders?  I find the Menin Gate extremely moving, even in broad daylight and no ceremonies.  All those names.....  and Tyne Kot is even worse with row upon row of headstones, some with names from all over the world and others just "known unto God" which assumes a lot.   Nothing godly about such carnage.

Chappy has almost finished.  Lunch time now and then he'll be back to finish smoothing the far edge.  The middle is now deep enough to bury his excavator.

Tomato, ginger and orange soup for us - light but warming.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.

Hi al. Ive been busy outside today, so haven’t looked in. Planted out the tomatoes, butter beans, soft and hard neck garlic, etc. etc.  that have been residing in the GH.

Loved the photo of the koala, Chicky. Have a good flight .

too tired to read back. Maybe tomorrow.

Pat, seems hilarious that anyone would be planting out tomatoes now!

Anyone on here (Yes, of course, there is ) who have made candles, I have been making my own Christmas pressies for some years now, desided candles, bath bombs and steeps this year, thinking of incorporating lavender, lemon balm homegrown, just got kit soy wax, double burner, thermometer, etc, but VERY nervous about all the warnings, terrified am going to burn the place down, is it reasonably easy?
