Obelixx, hope both in-laws make a good recovery after their very nasty accident.

Love fresh herring done in oatmeal. Remember the herring boats landing the fish and the women gutting them on the pier.

Thanks Joyce and everyone else for their good wishes.   Much appreciated.

I don't think I've ever had herring in oatmeal.   Need to fix that.  Grilled, baked, BBQ'd, soused - which doesn't agree with me at all, maatjes (milder Flemish/Dutch pickling)........

Love fish but OH not a fan, so that's my go-to supper if he is away or we are dining out. Kidneys... there is hardly any food I won't eat, but kidneys just make me think of dissecting them for A Level Biology and the whiff of the laboratory!

Shattered tonight so nearly leccy blanket time... night night all.

    Morning all.

The wind is blowing a gale, and the rain is battering at the windows and I can't sleep. image

It's only day 1 Obs: I'm not giving up.

I hit black ice once and spun off the road, through a fence  and into a church graveyard. I was more concerned I'd not hit a gravestone than I was about the car.

I suspect I might be spending to-day finishing Hubby's accounts ready to be sent off. Yawn yawn.

I hope you get a hill done Fairy.

    Catch you all later.

I think the rest of the country has rain but it's dry here if a bit overcast.

Hope the wakeful got some sleep eventually.
