Addresses can be odd in France too. Like many places in the countryside, we are a former "lieu-dit" and Harry's Opel supplied Satnav thinks our house is round the corner in another road. The one we bought for Sally knows. Harry's doesn't know about some new roads, lots of new roundabouts and tries to send us on tracks not fit for cars. Useful in towns tho for finding streets without being distracted by maps and for getting into the general area. Expect Busy's house has the same problems. We have learned to consult Via Michelin before we go somewhere new.

Vendée - 20kms from Atlantic coast.
"The price good men (and women) pay for indifference to public affairs is to be ruled by evil men (and women)."
I have the same problem. Another house is shown as having my house's name on Sat Navs, it belongs to the local pharmacist. That's why I had problems with the heating oil man recently, posted it here. He went down the wrong road, which was closed, and made a mess of the new tarmac.
Where is everyone?
I've been in the garden planting spring bedding. Only 2 pots left, but I've run out of fertiliser granules, the ones that last 6 months.
Dordogne and Norfolk. Clay in Dordogne, sandy in Norfolk.
I hate the r*ddy things(satnav) Refuse to have one, and didn't use the one in the previous car.
Not good news re your knees Dove. Hope you can get it sorted - or at least, find something which helps.
Went to do a 'local' hill today at the Rest and be Thankful (one I've done lots of times) and knees were fine. I wonder if they were so bad last week because I haven't been out doing anything at all. Who knows. At least I didn't go ar*e over t*t today either!
The usual worrying amount of people out ill equipped for the conditions. Ho hum, what can you do.
Good views and a bit of sun at the summit, so it was all good.
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Snow already! Definitely Brrrrr!. Looks like a good day in the hills. Whilst in the hills near Bilbao Possum supposed her parents wouldn't be going skiing again, given the maternal knees and toes. Too right. Plenty of black and red runs for Harry on the roads tho.
Don't like satnav much either FG and have it on silent but it can find sites of interest as well as given addresses and that's a boon when you suddenly need fuel or pharmacy in the back of beyond because you're exploring a scenic route or the one way system in a town leads you astray. Otherwise, I plan my journeys using maps and have taught Possum to map read from an early age.
It's getting cool here too now and I came home to find OH had the radiator o in the living room. I've just turned it on again now but expect dinner will warm us up from inside - slow roast pork belly with glazed carrots and steamed Romanesco.

Cairngorms have had a snow for a few weeks, but that's the first lot in the west. Nothing to frighten the horses, just a few inches, but it made for a grand day
Drive was good on the way out Joyce - but a diversion to get onto the Erskine Bridge, then a queue/traffic jam coming home as there was an accident before the turn off for Paisley, and it was already down to one lane. Not as bad as last week thankfully! Home in time to roast a ham and have several cups of tea

Good evening everybody , spent day at allotment , lots done
Just had dinner , gammon in slow cooker plus various bits , I am not the cook , no doubt you can tell from the description , it was excellent plus red wine ?
just about to watch TV ? , Strickly results and Blue planet ?
They're doing roadworks or something on the M8 - the usual slip road onto it was closed, so there was a bit of a convoluted diversion (near the airport) but it wasn't too bad as the roads were fairly quiet. The accident going home was causing most of the hold up , as we all had to maneouvre round a lorry which was protecting the car(s) involved. Fine once I got past that. Home early anyway

Sat Nav once proudly announced " you have arrived" except I was 8 miles from the customer's house.

The shorter drive today would make it easier on your knees.

Fairy, at least the hold up was on your final stretch. That bit of road from the bridge tends to be busy especially if it's a nice weekend.
