I hope, if he's a boy, that he doesn't feel emasculated by his new name. If so, maybe Tepal? Sounds a bit less feminine.
I am in a quandary. Decided I was fed up with looking at the insides of the shutters in the kitchen after dark so would make curtains. Trouble is, there isn't enough of the fabric I was planning to use to make floor length as planned so, do I go and try and find some the right colour combo or make Roman blinds. Haven't made Roman blinds since I did one for Possum's baby room and she'll be 23 in January.

A quiet day is good Joyce. Hope daughter is better by then though.
Thanks LG - and glad you're a bit more chipper. Difficult converstaions are....well, difficult. Never simple but often necessary.
I've just received my photos that I was getting 'done' for the shower room wall. Some snowy, frosty hill pix. I use Photobox to get prints done, but these are mounted prints on a dense foam type stuff, and therefore waterproof. £14 each for 40cm x 30 cm. Delighted with them. Not sure Hosta would want them on his wall - too chilly
Blimmin' chilly here anyway - car covered. Some bits have never defrosted today at all. Bits of ground I mean - not me....
It's a place where beautiful isn't enough of a word....
I live in west central Scotland - not where that photo is...
Afternoon all- just checking in. Can't write long posts. My thumb keeps twitching = not painful but certainly not pleasant. Makes typing etc quite comfortable.
No idea what is causing it - hoping it's nothing major.
Frosty for us Dove - makes a change from lousy wet so I ain't complainin'
Hope you get some joy with the boiler. Our heating's on most of the day just now - I keep the thermostat at around 16 so that it never gets too cold, then up it when we're in. The house is well insulated though, so it doesn't trigger very often and it's far more economical than heating it from 'frozen'.
Unpleasant Clari - I have to stop coming on here every so often if I overdo it. Just as well I don't have to sit in front of a screen for work.
Better go and heat up the car and get there then. Catch you all later. Have a good day

It seems as though our weather patterns are mirroring each other Obelixx, very strange
it will be interesting to see if Petal has made more inroads on the flowers while we’re in Canberra overnight.
Thanks for all the generous compliments folks. I don’t think I deserve them, but hey, it’s nice to receive them anyway.
Night night all.
